What’s in your mattress?

We spend at least a third of our lives sleeping. Make sure your mattress is organic so that you aren’t breathing in chemicals all night long.

Many mattress today are heavily saturated with VOCs including flame retardants that are continually off gassing 24-7. When you breathe in these volatile organic compounds your body has to do something with them.

The liver, as a primary detox organ should step in and work to cleanse the blood/body of the chemicals, but if the liver is congested or not functioning optimally it may not be able to keep up with the onslaught of chemicals from a new mattress.

What should you do?

🩵 If you’re in the market for a new mattress, choose organic. Options are much more affordable and easily available today than ever before.

🩵 If you’ve just purchased a new mattress that isn’t organic, see if your company has an option to return for a refund.

🩵 If you have a mattress that’s not organic but is older, it’s likely not off gassing as much as a new model. Invest in a high quality air purifier for your bedroom.
